Public Service and Community

Throughout my last few semesters at Berkeley and beyond, I expanded my interests from business and optimization classes to include public policy, community work, and environmental health.  These projects are some of the work I'm most proud of; I loved working with and supporting local  organizations.

SendHelp

Send Help (prev. Not the Police) is an AI messaging platform that directs residents to non-police first responders in non-emergency situations, such as homelessness and mental health episodes. By reallocating police resources for "quality of life" violations, we reduce at-risk citizens' exposure to police and consequently, police violence.

Global Nonprofits Guide

Led design for PILnet, DLApiper, and European Center for Nonprofit Law to create the Global Non-Profits’ guide, an interactive tool where users input criteria to find countries to relocate to; transforming a static resource into a platform that empowers human rights defenders.

Berkeley Ecology Center

For my capstone project in Industrial Engineering & Operations research, my team worked with the Berkeley Farmers Market program manager to create an optimal layout with social distancing and streamline their annual paperwork system.
